Dr. Scott McLaren
Dr. McLaren was born and raised in Idaho. From an early age he learned the value of hard work by working in the family business of road construction and excavation. After graduating high school, he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Idaho State University. From there, he was selected as one of only eight students in the entire state of Idaho to pursue his dental education through the Idaho Dental Education Program. This program allowed him to attain his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in Omaha, NE at Creighton University School of Dentistry. There he graduated nearly the top of his class. Additionally, among many other rewards and recognitions, he was inducted into the prestigious dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. McLaren was then fortunate enough to continue his education for two more years at what is widely considered the nation’s top Pediatric Dental Residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. It was during this time that Dr. McLaren, while working as chief resident, attained his Master of Business Administration degree. Dr. McLaren is a board eligible pediatric dentist and works hard to continue to stay current with his education and learning.
It’s Dr. McLaren’s love of working with kids and his satisfaction from giving kids a positive dental experience that made him want to become a pediatric dentist in the first place.
Most of Dr. McLaren’s hobbies and free time include time spent with his favorite people, his Wife and three children. He also enjoys fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking and spending time outdoors.
